Let's Get Back to the Fundamentals
The CTM practise of washing, toning, and moisturising is a must for clear and healthy skin.
The tried-and-true 3-step procedure is the bedrock of every effective skincare regimen. Following the advice of the acronym,
1 – first step is to wash away the day’s grime and pollutants.
2 – To restore your skin’s natural PH after cleansing, you can use a chemical toner containing chemical exfoliants like BHA and PHA or a natural toner consisting of rosewater and witch hazel.
3 -Finally, use a moisturiser on your skin to keep it supple and hydrated.
4 – Use a double cleansing routine to get glowing skin.
You can add a second cleansing step if you have mixed or oily skin. First, remove all oil-based blemishes, including as makeup, sunscreen, and excess sebum, with an oil-based cleanser.
The next step is to use a water-based cleanser that can penetrate the skin to remove dirt and sweat, revive tired skin, and open the skin’s barrier to better absorb subsequent treatments.
Just remember to exfoliate once in a while
For those of us prone to acne, exfoliation is an absolute necessity on the road to clear skin. By sloughing off dead skin cells, exfoliation reduces the likelihood of clogged pores and subsequent acne. By removing dead skin cells on a regular basis, exfoliation helps the skin appear more supple and smooth.
In contrast to strong physical scrubs, which can irritate the skin and make acne worse, a chemical exfoliation containing AHA, BHA, and retinol is a better option.
Wear a Facemask
Applying a face mask is a peaceful and delicious way to pamper oneself on a Sunday afternoon.
But that’s not all: masking on a daily basis may do incredible things for your skin. Some people prefer to make their own face masks at home using ingredients like turmeric and honey, while others prefer to use chemical masks developed specifically for their skin type.
Before purchasing a face mask, whether online or in a medicine shop, it is important to read the label carefully to ensure that it contains only skin-nourishing substances, such as those with anti-inflammatory effects.
Methods for Relaxing the Face and Neck: Gua Sha and Massages
We’re here to dispel any doubts you may have about the efficacy of facial yoga, jade rollers, and gua sha by reassuring you that this Instagram-approved treatment provides excellent results for your skin.
Facial massages are an excellent way to improve blood flow to the skin, which will leave you with a healthy glow.
If you want to reduce puffiness and stress in your face muscles, use a gua sha once a day instead of massaging and shaping your face with your fingers.
In no circumstances should sunscreen be forgotten.
You should never omit applying sunscreen to your face. On overcast days, the sun’s rays can still cause premature aging since our skin is more receptive to them.
Applying sunscreen daily can help prevent sunburn, delay the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, keep your skin tone consistent, and ward off skin cancer.
Hope these help you up your skincare game in 2023!
